Our cashmere fibers come from cashmere goats bred in the Upper Mustang region of Lomanthang. We are committed to producing high-quality cashmere products while adhering to ethical business practices. The Mustang cashmere goats, known as chyangra, produce wonderful cashmere that meets international standards, which has been approved and lab-tested by the internationally accredited fiber testing laboratory of the Research and Development Institute of Light Industry(RDILI), Mongolian University of Science and Technology in Ulan Baataar.
The sampling and testing of cashmere fiber were conducted jointly by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association (NPIA), in collaboration with the Nepal Animal Breeding and Genetics Research Center (NABGRC) under the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) and the Chyangra Pashmina Farmers Association in Upper and Lower Mustang.
The findings reveal that the Chyangra goats of Nepal, found in the Upper and Lower Mustang regions, yield an outstanding quality of cashmere. This luxurious fiber is characterized by its remarkably fine diameter, placing it on par with that produced in other renowned cashmere-producing countries. The consistency and excellence of the cashmere from these goats underscore their significance in the global market.
