During our founder’s visit to Lomanthang, he felt a deep emotional and spiritual connection with the people of Lomanthang (referred to as lobbas) and the vegetation there. He was particularly fascinated by the hardworking , grounded people and the beautiful Himalayan goats, and he desired to specifically promote the cashmere of Lomanthang.
Cashmere from the region is highly valued , conscious for its softness, warmth, and luxurious feel. Cashmere from Lomanthang is particularly renowned for its exceptional quality. The wool fibers are very fine, typically ranging from 14 to 19 microns in diameter, which contributes to its softness and warmth. Cashmere weaving and production are deeply intertwined with the cultural heritage of Mustang. The skills and techniques passed down through generations continue to shape the identity of the local communities.
