Internationally Tested and Approved
The Mustang cashmere goats, known locally as chyangra, produce fibers that meet rigorous international standards. Their cashmere has been lab-tested and approved by the internationally accredited fiber testing laboratory of the Research and Development Institute of Light Industry (RDILI) at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology in Ulan Baatar.
Collaborative Quality Verification
Sampling and testing of the cashmere fiber were conducted in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association (NPIA), alongside the Nepal Animal Breeding and Genetics Research Center (NABGRC) under the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC), and the Chyangra Pashmina Farmers Association in Upper and Lower Mustang. This collaboration ensures that every batch of cashmere is consistent and of the highest quality.
Outstanding Fiber Quality
The findings confirmed that the Chyangra goats of Upper and Lower Mustang produce exceptional cashmere, characterized by a remarkably fine diameter. This places Nepalese cashmere on par with fibers from other renowned cashmere-producing countries. Its consistency, softness, and luxury make it highly sought after in the global market.
